Don’t Forget the Thank-You Note
Have you ever wondered why you were called in for an interview, but never heard back about the position? Did you do something that the interviewer didn’t like?? What did the person who got the job have that you didn’t??
Quite often it is what you didn’t do that hurt your chances. You didn’t send a thank-you note. To me, it sounds ridiculous that such a little thing should play such importance, but I guess if it is down to two of you in the running, and one sends a note thanking the interviewer for his time and one doesn’t… well, I guess you can see why the employer leaned in one direction.
